Some News and Notes

Grady Fuson has joined the Padre's front office as Special Assistant to Kevin Towers. A few of Grady's notable drafts while in Oakland included Tim Hudson, Barry Zito, Mark Mulder, Eric Chavez, Ben Grieve and Mark Bellhorn, among others. I'd like to see this guy do for us what he did with the A's cultivating a solid farm system loaded with big league talent. Welcome aboard Grady!

Is Ryan Klesko's right shoulder going to be this season's excuse for hitting 9 homeruns?

And, apparently Shawn Burroughs has some company over at third base. XNady didn't only play third while at Cal, he also played it yesterday in the exhibition game and reports claim he made a "diving, back-handed grab of Beltre's grounder and threw to first for the out." This could get intersting.

Hey Kevin,

Thanks for the heads-up...much appreciated. You've got a great site over there...definitely the "official" unofficial home of the Pads. Good job!

Be in touch,
Rich
